about my new job
which I love.
But for now, this is my
other job,
the hated cater waiter rat race.
I feel that this is how they
would prefer to see us.
Lots of white jackets
robots
performing our function perfectly.
There's never a reward for doing well,
only early dismissal for carrying
two plates instead of three,
and sexist racist ageist ignorant
schmucks who never seem
to get the hint
that I don't want to talk to them
while I'm trying to read my book
on my break.
Yes, a new job will
suit me just fine.
